Continental red beds – the limestones are lacustrine type. Upward succession (Table 1 in Wendt et al., 2008) of (1) d’Ain-ech-Chebbi Fm of greater than 560 m of shale, sandstone and dolomite; (2) de L’Azel Matti Fm of greater than 250 m of shale and limestone, and local d’Hassi-Bachir Fm of greater than 230 m of shale, sandstone, dolomite and limestone.
